IN THE GROOVE

This is how you describe "In the groove."  There was just no stopping Panache that day.  She felt so rock solid.  There is barely any load on the tiller, she is balanced that well, which instills a lot of comfort.

The wind buffets a lot close to this hill as there is a gulley above through which it funnels.  If you catch it just right, the funnel can propel the boat well out on the main body of water.  At other times, you just stick with the wind and following it through a 900 heading change without touching sail trim.

The water is about 20' deep, only 50' from the north shore.  Its fun to sail along this line but you do have to keep a watchful eye on the depth sounder.
